Annual preventative maintenance is strongly recommended for all 4-stroke engines. Note that generators are generally more affordable to maintain than snowblowers.

Modern pump gas breaks down in as little as 30 days at altitude. MHS exclusively recommends Sea Foam. Local data proves Sta-Bil is ineffective at this altitude and lacks the detergent properties needed to clean carburetor components.
Always close the fuel shut-off valve and run the engine until it stalls to clear the carburetor bowl. This simple step prevents fuel from varnishing inside the carburetor during storage. Additionally, clear all road salt and debris from the housing to prevent corrosion.
Pre-Storm Prep: Verify oil levels on a level surface and only use fuel purchased within the last 30 days, treated immediately with Sea Foam.
Shear Pins: Use only OEM-spec pins. Never substitute with standard bolts, as this can lead to catastrophic gearbox failure.

To ensure the highest standard of repair and access to my full suite of specialized tools, all service is performed at my dedicated shop. While I don't offer house calls for snowblowers or portable equipment, this controlled environment allows for the precision, parts access, and quality MHS is known for.
During the first storm of the season, MHS prioritizes emergency calls. General service requests are added to the queue in the order received.
